Mike Bibby: Veteran Guard Debuts In Heat's Loss To Magic Thursday Night

Mike Bibby Debuted In Miami's Epic Collapse Against Orlando Thursday Night

Mike Bibby picked a bad night to make his debut with the Miami Heat. Just four days after he agreed to a contract buyout with the Washington Wizards, Bibby made his first appearance as a member of the Miami Heat.

Bibby was not effective at all, but it was his first game so we should give him some time to work his way into this offense. He finished with three points on 1-for-4 shooting with three rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes.

Even with those numbers, the Heat looked like they were going to make Bibby's debut a memorable one when they were up by 24 points on Orlando in the third quarter.

The problem is that has been a weakness for the Heat this season. They have not been able to close out games, especially when they have built up big leads in these games. They have blown double-digit leads to Utah, New York, Chicago and now this game against Orlando.

Despite all the talent that the Heat have with LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, they still need an inside presence and a better option at the point.

Bibby is a decent player, but he is not THE missing piece for this team.

Now, after another epic collapse against Orlando, although that's not really fair because Orlando did make the plays to win the game, the Heat are left with more questions than answers.
