NFL Draft 2011: The Colts Should Get an Offensive Tackle with Pick No. 22

NFL Draft 2011 The Colts might as well have Peyton Manning in their war room on Draft Day so he can be assured that he gets some protection drafted for him up front.

The Colts have to assure that they can protect Manning if they want to compete next season. He cannot go through what he did last year behind a make shift line.

Don Banks of Sports Illustrated believes Nate Solder might be the pick.

"All of last season the Colts regretted they didn't go for an offensive tackle in 2010's first round, and I can't see them making the same mistake twice. Solder is a better pass blocker than run blocker at this point, but that fits pretty well with where the emphasis lies in Indy."

While Gabe Carimi has garnered some more interest from the Colts; it looks like Anthony Castonzo from Boston College could be the pick according to Mel Kiper.

"Castonzo is a smart, versatile tackle who has been consistently rated as a first-round tackle option. He's added bulk and with good awareness footwork, he fits well in Indy at a position the Colts need to fill."

Any three of these players would be a smart selection. Peyton Manning will make them learn quick, and will often make them look better to cover up some of their mistakes.
