Dwyane Wade: D-Wade Gives Dirk Nowitzki Credit for 2011 NBA Finals Performance

The Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade Gives Credit Where It's Due To Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki

Unlike LeBron James, Dwyane Wade knows how to react in front of a microphone after a big loss.  After the Dallas Mavericks finished the Miami Heat off, D-Wade gave Dirk Nowitzki credit for his outstanding performance.

When asked about Dirk post-game, Wade answered saying:

"I think he?s played awesome, man.  Obviously Dirk, five years ago, it burned in him. He learned from that experience.  Even though he was 1-for-12 in the first half, he came out and made big shots for his team.  He kept being aggressive, kept shooting.  So there?s no question he?s been a great individual player, and now that he?s a champion, it goes without saying what it does for his career. So congratulations to him."

Flash couldn't have said it much better than that.

Dirk has kept that 2006 NBA Finals loss in the back of his mind since the lost five years ago.  He's worked so hard to avenge losing the series after being up 2-0.

Nowitzki showed LeBron exactly what superstars are supposed to do for their teams in game six.  He kept shooting even after a horrible start.  He wasn't scared of the moment and he didn't hand the reins to one of his teammates.

The German is now a lock for the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame.  He may just have a chance to get in on his first time on the ballot as well.
