Video: Rich Eisen runs best 40 time since 2006

What has this Rich Eisen guy been doing? Training with Deion Sanders at Prime U? Getting tips from former NFL Network colleague and new Oakland Raiders position coach Rod Woodson? Having Warren Sapp chase him around the NFL Net set to get his motor running? Using illicit substances like Yoo-Hoo or Five-Hour Energy Drink?

We're not sure how he's doing it, but the NFL Network's main man, famous for running a 40-yard dash shown at the end of every scouting combine coverage, put up his best time since 2006, and the best time overall, with a 6.18-second dash. Eisen's previous high was 6.22 in 2006, and he's increased his time in each of the last two seasons after two straight 6.34 times in 2008 and 2009 -- then going from 6.24 in 2010 to the aforementioned 6.18.

Here's the most recent run, if you'd like to see the man's form.

From the Lady Gaga-style pod opening to the comps with actual players at the end, it was an absolute triumph. As Eisen said after, echoing the thoughts of one Cam Newton, "This proves I'm both an entertainer and an icon."
