Chad Ochocinco prepares to ride a bull, may name it ‘Marvin Lewis’

Apparently, since trying out for the Kansas City Major League Soccer franchise didn't pan out for one Chad Ochocinco, the locked-out Bengals receiver is looking for new kicks in the offseason. Ochocinco is now getting ready to ride a bull in the Professional Bull Riders' Lucas Oil Invitational in Duluth, Ga., this Friday and Saturday.

Ochocinco, one of the savvier Twitter participants out there, made some noises a while back about riding a bull as a possible time-passer, and PBR CEO Sean Gleason issued a challenge. Ocho, a true Renaissance Man who's game for just about anything, accepted.

Per the press release, the challenge is simple. Senor Ochocinco must do the following:

-- Show up, get on a bull and the PBR will give Ochocinco $10,000.

-- If Ochocinco successfully rides that bull for the required 8 seconds, the PBR and Ford Trucks will give Ochocinco a brand new Ford F-150, as well as allow him to permanently rename the bull as he chooses.

-- If Ochoccinco does not show up for the challenge, the PBR will permanently re-name the bull "#58 No Show Cinco."

"He's a gifted athlete, but bull riding is a much different sport and climbing on the back of a bull in the chutes takes a little more than Twitter confidence, let alone calling for the gate," Gleason said. "We admire Ochocinco's interest in the sport. If he actually gets on and nods his head, he'll find out that two-a-days in the summer heat are nothing compared to the 8 seconds faced by PBR bull riders week in and week out."

As it turns out, Ocho already has a name in mind for the bull. Per his Twitter account, "Why not name the bull Marvin Lewis, everything he says about me is #Bull[expletive] anyway."

Lewis, of course, is the current head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, and Ocho has been on the outs with the organization for a while now.

By the way, Ocho is undaunted about the physical challenges of bull-riding. "When I touch the football field there's a risk of being injured, playing da Steelers n Ravens is equivalent to 1 damn bull ride," he tweeted on Wednesday.

We'll be watching to see if the challenge is met, and we'll certainly keep you posted if it is.
