Deep Posts: Alouette, je te plumerai

? The Canadians have been kind enough to agree to export their fine football product to the United States, which will come in handy if our lockout persists. The season starts June 30th. Among the differences between our game and theirs? Their field is 110 yards long, their endzones are 20 yards deep, they play 12 men per side, they call ham "bacon", everyone has health care, and they get to claim J.E. Skeets as their own.

? Gil Brandt believes that the Detroit Lions could make "a big play" for free agent corner Nnamdi Asomugha. I think it's just nice that we're back to a point where a superstar free agent might consider the Lions. If it happens, this could be the biggest splash they've made in free agency since ... Scott Mitchell?

? Things linebackers say, Part I: Bart Scott trademarked the phrase "Can't Wait" after this supercrazy, intensely angry postgame interview. Now he'll be selling t-shirts with the phrase, and the profits will go toward aiding the recovery of Eric LeGrand, who was paralyzed playing for Rutgers last year. Scott doesn't know him and has never met him.

? Things linebackers say, Part II: Jumping into the LaMarr Woodley/Joe Flacco dust-up, Terrell Suggs would add that LaMarr Woodley likes to talk out of his ass.

? Tiki Barber and Mike Francesa kind of yelled at each other on the radio. I'm starting to get tired of Tiki Barber again.

? Who Dey Revolution argues, pretty convincingly, that things are not going to go well for Bengals QB Andy Dalton.
