Jewelry Store Sues Joe Johnson Over $74,000 in Unpaid Orders

Filed under:

A jewelry store in Milwaukee is claiming that Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson owes them money for some hefty purchases, and is suing the All-Star reserve.

Pak's Jewelers claims Johnson placed a $74,389.20 order for some bling but didn't pay the monetary balance.

According to the complaint, Johnson purchased an array of stud necklaces and diamond bracelets, among other items in July and October 2010 and has refused a demand for payment.

However, when you add up the costs of all the pieces in the jewelers' invoice, it comes out to $5,907.20 less than what the jewelry store is billing for. Perhaps the amount takes shipping and handling into consideration?

Johnson's agent has thus far not responded to an e-mail from the Journal Sentinel.
