Video: Jonathan Toews' wacky ricochet game-winner vs. LA Kings

The Chicago Blackhawks were lucky to get center Jonathan Toews back quickly from injury, as the captain was expected to miss two weeks with a shoulder ailment but ended up missing just two games.

Toews was just as lucky himself in his return to the lineup against the Los Angeles Kings, getting credit for the game-winning goal in Chicago's 4-3 victory on one of the oddest scoring sequences of the season:

Your eyes didn't deceive you: The puck hit the back of Kings goalie Jonathan Quick's neck, then bounced off his mask onto the ice where defenseman Drew Doughty cleared it right into the leg of Toews and into the net for the Blackhawks' fourth goal.

When asked about the goal after the game, Toews said sarcastically on VERSUS: "You know, it was probably one of the nicest goals I've scored in my career. ... No, it's nice to get a few breaks once in a while."
