Brady on Cromartie's filthy name-calling: 'I've been called worse'

As you know, Antonio Cromartie unloaded a bit of filth on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady on Wednesday morning, calling him an unflattering term for a particular human orifice. Brady was, of course, asked about it, and here's his response via the Boston Herald:

"I’ve been called worse," Brady said. "There’s a long list of people that feel that way."

This is true. I can personally attest to the fact that Brady has been called worse, because I know a lot of Steelers fans, and those Steelers fans know a lot of dirty words. I've heard Tom Brady called things that would make Andrew Dice Clay say, "OK, that's just too far." I've seen a cardboard cutout of Tom Brady defiled in ways that I can't unsee.

The difference is, the people responsible for those things don't have to play defense against Tom Brady two or three times a year.

Will Cromartie's quotes affect how Brady prepares for and plays in Sunday's game?

"We’re going to do our talking on the field. That’s the way we choose to do it. At 7:30 on Sunday, that’s when everybody’ll be able to tell if it's played a role or not.”

Oh, Antonio Cromartie. You poor, poor man. That last quote from Brady is about the worst-case scenario for you. Sunday would be a good day for you to have the game of your life, because if they get the chance, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are going to make you a running joke on the NFL Network for the next 12 hours following the game.
