Fight Video: Cam Janssen vs. Krys Barch in brawl of year candidate

St. Louis Blues brawler Cam Janssen and Dallas Stars pugilist Krys Barch have history: Five above average fights since 2008, including one in the preseason that followed a controversial Twitter invitation from Janssen during the summer for the duo to drop the gloves again.

In Sunday's 4-2 Stars win at the Blues, Janssen and Barch had fight No. 6. It was a memorable brawl that lasted 1:15 and featured ambidextrous punching and a classic moment at the 1-minute mark of the following video in which Janssen appears to ask Barch for his best shot. Check it out:

As Defending Big D pointed out, the switch from right-handed bombs to left-handed ones almost felt choreographed and was pretty awesome.

The HockeyFights.com panelists are throwing around "fight of the year" appraisals, and it's hard to imagine it not being in the conversation given the duration, the explosive punches and their back-story. But it has competition: That Eric Boulton/John Erskine fight from November was like watching Godzilla and King Ghidorah trample Tokyo.
