NFL Playoff Picture: Are the Giants Playing for Coughlin's Job?

In the NFL Playoff Picture, perhaps no team took a playoff hit (both literally and figuratively) greater than the New York Giants. In the span of eight minutes, the Giants went from first place in the NFC East to possibly missing the playoffs. The game this week against the Packers is huge for New York, which still controls its own destiny.

But one has to wonder, with the rumors surrounding Tom Coughlin, if this season will finally be the last straw that gets Coughlin fired. The closest he came to getting canned was 2006, when the Giants went 8-8 and lost in the Wild Card round. Coughlin returned in 2007 and the Giants won the Super Bowl. This weekend will go a long way if seeing if Coughlin stays.
