Video: Groove to LA Kings' unofficial rap anthem, ?Black and Purple'

"Black And Yellow" by Wiz Khalifa is the undeniably catchy hip-hop ode to Pittsburgh whose video features dozens of Terrible Towels but not a single reference to Bob Errey, Frank Pietrangelo or Mike Lange.

Thanks to a couple of Los Angeles Kings fans, Mr. Khalifa's track has finally been hockey-fied. Here's "Black and Purple," the unofficial rap anthem for the 2010-11 Kings that gets better as it goes along (and, alas, more profane, so NSFW PG-13 language warning if you please).

"And Ryan Smyth/he looks approachable/super clean but he's super mean/he wanna [bleep] with them Ducks."

Well, of course he does. But super clean? Have you seen the hair?

As we say here in the suburbs: Mad props to the makers of this track for cramming pretty much the entire roster in the lyrics and having the timeliness to include Marco Sturm. We thought we'd go our entire lives without hearing Kevin Westgarth and Kyle Clifford name-checked in a rap song. We were wrong.

Stick-tap to Puck Buddy Ryan Benton for the clip.
