Strong game out of Geno after his status was questionable heading into the Flyers' battle. He scored two power-play goals, both with a helper from Sidney Crosby, and skated 21:29 with 8 shots for the Pens in the losing effort.
Honorable mention: Crosby's point streak is now at 19 games, matching his career best. ... Mikhail Grabovski and Kris Versteeg scored in the second period for the Leafs, who outshot Edmonton 13-3 in that frame. ... Jordan Eberle's seventh was the lone tally for the Oil. ... Jean-Sebastien Giguere had 23 saves in the win for the Leafs, while Brian Boucher stopped 21 for the Flyers. ... Finally, the City of Glendale approved a new lease agreement for the Phoenix Coyotes, paving the way for Matthew Hulsizer to take over the team and keep it there until at least 2033.
